Man-Up
As males, our motivations are often dedicated to acquiring influence, attaining power, displaying strength, and maneuvering with financial freedom. With a gladiator’s fortitude we endure professional adversity, conquer personal struggles, and craft our perfect fantasy; never taking an honest inventory of our internal drives. But, the most important liberty is the freedom to be our authentic self.
Often we trade in what’s real for role-play, theatrical performances we believe to be more appealing and entertaining to public audiences. We construct false narratives and get lost in the melodramatic portrayals. Psychotherapy increases self-awareness by broadening personal perspectives and creating progressive solutions to regain a sense of self. Transformation takes place when you’re receptive to the necessary work. With the newfound knowledge, we’re able to rewrite our stories to mirror our truth.
There is such a negative connotation attached to men expressing emotions. Apparently, hyper-masculinity precludes us from empathizing with the full experience of the human condition. But, to properly sympathize with the soothing lyrics of a Marvin Gaye classic, vulnerability is a requirement. Only you know your capability! Gentle-Men, Man-Up and teach the next generation the healing power of Emotional Intelligence!
Challenge Your Self.
As always, thanks for listening.

ABOUT YOUR THERAPIST
ANDRE' GOODMAN
I’ve engaged in psychological warfare. I’m well-versed in mental manipulation and its’ ability to distort reality; stifling one’s potential. My personal experience has enhanced my skills as an LPC-A, intensifying my desire to improve the quality of life of my clients.
I specialize in Individuation, the distinct manner in which we identify from others. Together we bring internal conflicts into awareness and reconstruct the perception of external adversities. The goal for all clients includes an alliance of emotional intelligence, mental transparency, and overall wellness, which increases life satisfaction.
To help clients clarify the complexities of mental health challenges and provide encouragement to address dysfunctional thoughts and behavior, I use Analytic Psychology to sharpen self-awareness, CBT to reconstruct thoughts, Narrative Therapy to reframe stories into truth, Motivational Interviewing to inspire change, and Existential Therapy to integrate purpose into mundane moments.
I counsel men struggling with depression, anxiety, emotional intelligence, self-esteem and hypermasculinity. As alpha males, displaying strength often means suppressing feeling, limiting self-awareness. During our initial sessions, we will take a deep dive into the issues at hand, and create a plan designed to help clients enjoy a fulfilling life.
My aim is to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals and embracing their fullest potential. I equip clients with tools to improve their mindset and emotional well-being. My ideal client is someone navigating a significant life transition, struggling with divorce or the
end of a long-term relationship, maybe lacking motivation to excel, missing the inspiration to give life their best effort, or having difficulties managing the pressure to perform, and experiencing aimless apathy. In therapy, I meet clients where they are, offering a non-judgmental space for them to express themselves authentically.
